Mezcal can be enjoyed in both ways: pure or in a cocktail. Our recomendation is always to enjoy it neat first because this is how you can play with your senses (view, smell. taste) and then decided which ingredientscould be mixed with that specific variety of mezcal. here it is all about your creativity and most importantly your taste. Therefore, in Mezcal Lab you will be able to learn how to taste a mezcal and some cocktails that can be easily made at home.
Pour about 30 ml of pure mezcal into a wide open glass (lowball) and let it breath for about 40 seconds.
Smoky, sweet, sour, fizzy . what´s not like? mezcal and tequila are the best ingredient for any cocktail and they are rocking around the best bars in the world. here are some examples of easy recipes that can be done at home or that you can ask at your local bar.
Ingredients:
25 ml Mezcal (Espadin)
25 ml Sweet vermouth (or Ancho ReYes, I am +18 Rojo)
25 ml Campari
1 slide of orange peel to garnish
Ice
Method:
Pour all ingredients together in a old-fashioned glass with ice cubs. Stir gently for 30 seconds. Finish with the orange peel to garnish.

50 ml Mezcal (Ensamble / Jabali)
150 ml Ginger beer (Fever-Tree)
10 ml Lime juice
1 leaf of Rosemary
Ice
Method:
Pour all ingredients together in a copper or highball glass with ice cubs. Stir gently for 30 seconds. Finish with the Rosemary leaf to garnish.

50 ml Tequila (joven) or Mezcal
100 ml Thomas Henry Pink Grapefruit
50 ml Aperol
10 ml Lime juice
1 Scheibe
1 slide of orange or lime
Ice
Method:
Pour all ingredients together in a wine glass with ice cubs. Stir gently for 30 seconds. Finish with the slide of orange/lime to garnish.
